SETA Head Start Program

The Sacramento Performing Arts Conservatory's Operation Head Start Program, launched in January 2009, has been developed in consultation with various Head Start schools in the Sacramento areas to meet the needs of gifted and exceptionally motivated Head Start Pre-K children who require a challenge beyond the traditional classroom music curriculum.  Our dedicated faculty offers ensemble instruction to nearly 700 Pre-K children throughout the Sacramento area weekly.

Our Goals:

We endeavor to broaden the lives of financially disadvantaged children, to provide a full range of the finest possible instruction and musical opportunities to students, to teach good habits that will carry over into their lives' work, and to expose them to new opportunities for success.

The Sacramento Performing Arts Conservatory's Operation Head Start Program will continue to provide for students the following:

1)     Free arts lessons for committed parents and children in the Head Start Program.

2)     Special musical opportunities through a combination ensemble participation, music enrichment classes and experiences.

3)     Support and encouragement, so that students may develop their artistic potential to the highest level possible.

Family Partnership

Beginning with your child's enrollment in the program, your family becomes part of our extended SPAC family. Family Partnership brings teachers, staff and parents together in a relationship of mutual respect and trust. We will work together to provide the best possible program for your child.

Leadership Training

We encourage parents to have a voice in developing all aspects of the program through their participation in the Parent Policy Committees.
